Does philosophical research study issue?
Countless people are used to operate in the social sciences and the arts.
Full disclosure: I are among them. I work in Ideology.
We do a lot of research.
But does it matter? Does the study we do make a difference? Does my work in Philosophy issue?
The study does not matter?
In a comment on one of my earlier littles creating here on Medium,
made me assess this question again. As a component of her remark she noted:
“Sadly, social study is often also simplistic to offer any meaningful takeaways.”
For what it deserves, I definitely do believe it’s an essential point that Julia increases. I believe it does matter whether study is commonly also simple to provide purposeful takeaways. Julia is most definitely asking something essential.
Conversely, I also stress in some cases that several of the research is as well complicated for us to be able to do a lot with it!
However, if we’re mosting likely to carry on researching in philosophy, we need to be clear that thoughtful research study provides us meaningful takeaways which it can make a difference beyond education.
